DRIVER EDUCATION WITH SECRETARY OF STATE SHENNA BELLOW
Join the AK Collaborative for an educational session on driver education specifically designed for immigrants and BIPOC communities. We are delighted to have Secretary of State Shanna Bellows as our featured guest. This session aims to provide valuable information, resources, and guidance related to driving and navigating the transportation system. We encourage all individuals from these communities to attend and take advantage of this opportunity to enhance their knowledge and empower themselves on the road.
JOIN US FOR A COMMUNITY FORUM WITH ANDROSCOGGIN DISTRICT ATTORNEY
The AK Collaborative is organizing a community session featuring Androscoggin District Attorney Neil McLean. This session aims to address concerns and questions that may be specific to immigrants and BIPOC communities regarding the justice department in our county. We are committed to creating an inclusive and informed environment where everyone's voices and perspectives are valued. Together, we can foster a stronger relationship between the justice department and these communities.
OCFS AND CPS COMMUNITY FORUM
The AK Collaborative is pleased to announce that it will be hosting representatives from the DHHS Office of Child and Family Services and Child Protective Services for an upcoming information session. This session aims to provide valuable insights into the process of becoming a foster care parent and fostering positive relationships between the department and parents. Together, we can work towards a collective effort to promote the well-being and welfare of children.
Women’s Hygiene Products Drive
We are pleased to offer a safety net for women in need by collecting donations of essential hygiene products. We kindly request that you drop off your contributions at our conveniently located 157 Main Street address. Your generosity will make a significant impact and ensure that these women have access to the basic necessities they require to maintain their health and well-being. Thank you for your support in helping us make a meaningful difference in our community.
Foster care Parent Info Session
Are you considering the possibility of becoming a foster care parent? If so, you're invited to join us this Sunday at 2:30 pm at Masjid Salaam mosque, where you'll have the opportunity to hear from representatives from the DHHS Office of Child and Family Services.
Elected Officials Quarterly Meeting
Consider joining the AK Collaborative for a chance to interact with your state senator Peggy Rotundo, State Representative Kristen Cloutier, Mana Abdi, Margaret Carven, District Attorney Neil McLean and Lewiston Mayor, Carl Sheline. Our quarterly meetings provide a platform for community members to address their concerns, ask questions, or simply network with their representatives.
